Claims to be an American soldier working in Bagdad (Camp Victory – so difficult to contact because of ‘security’), both parents died in a car crash, divorced from his wife who was into drugs, had an affair and has remarried. He has no other relatives except his daughter (Sophia), who is training to be a nurse and has gone to Ghana to do one of her modules.
Spends time each night chatting, and sends emails morning and night and then started to get them from the daughter as well. After 2 months came the request from the daughter to ‘make a donation’ to help a child ‘grace’ who has cancer and no insurance at the hospital. Daughter looking to raise $9000 dollars to help! This was followed by Rod saying he cannot help as he cannot access money from his base so suggested I send between $500 to $1000.
All the way through alarms bells ringing…. could not describe Baghdad, or home town in New Port Richie, Florida. No relatives to speak of and mentioned having a home in Rome but could not say what points of interest it was near.
Sent multiple photos and also flowers, chocolates, wine and a teddy! Appeared a bit plausable, handsome and would appeal to most with the declarations of love, but very over top ‘I want to put a ring on your finger’, ‘I will never hurt you’, ‘will love to live with you’ etc.
Needless to say, poor grammar and forgetful of some of the things previously said, along with some text that just looked too correct (spellings etc), so I copied and pasted some of the sentences into the net and yep… up they came (so copied and pasted by him and the ‘daughter’) set the alarms then the request for money finished things off.
Told the scammer that I did not trust nor believe him and then checked the IP addresses

I couldn’t even tell you were I met this same man. But….. he told me his name is Kelvin Johnson, and that he had a son named Mikey that was attending military school in london. Said that his wife had died in a car crash and that he was in syria fighting the war.
He sent me pics of both him and his son. Next thing that I knew he was telling me that his son was in a very serious accident and he even had the nerve to send me extremely shocking photos of this child in a hospital bed. The next thing I knew he was asking me to send him money so his son could have this life saving operation, because he could not get to his money. I told him no way for I am a student. The next thing that I knew he was calling me, and asking me to get money together because a diplomat was coming to canada with money that belong to him all I needed to do was pay the custom fees before he arrived. As you can see I DID NOT SEND ANY MONEY TO HIM. I had already been scammed by another individual buy the name of Harrison Matthew Johnson, which I am still searching the web for this fuckers picture so I can warn all woman out there.
