This chap is very believable. Very soon after chatting wanted me to buy expensive gifts and designer clothing. Told me he loved me and asked me to marry him. HOWEVER, when he claimed he was in the USA he gave me a mobile number with a Ghanian code to use. He wanted me to buy laptops for him. He couldn’t buy them ‘cos his credit card had been stolen. He was going to send me the money. I received strange emails from someone calling themselves Barrister Douglass Owen and my suspicions were just about confirmed. I have spotted him as a scammer but he has left me distraught as he was just so believable and I felt as though I had met the man of my dreams. We are all fools.

This guy was know as Aleksi Gallagher on Match.com; Likewise, he is very well read, smart and savy. He is very quickly to “fall in love with you” making you believe he is the “one”, get’s your email right away to chat, after a couple chats, get your address to send you flowers, then has to urgently go out of town “Cairo,EG” as he has been “Awarded a Contract” for $3M; once he got there his luggage was stolen and scammed me into sending him undergarmets, expensive sandals and cologne, and toiletries, all under the promise he will pay you back, w/interest, continues to contact you and then starts asking for money due to his bank account and credit card be “held up” for 15 days; it is then an emergency that you send him $6K or he will lose the contract; when I said no, he droped it to $3K, the said he rectified the situation and only needed $450; I still said no and did a lot of research..he is no where to be found on the internet except under “scammers”; his pictures are not real; he also sent me some of his home, which of course was not his but a house in CA that was on the market for sale. He claimed to live in Canton, GA, his phone was a “pinger” number; then he was texting me from a Ghana number claiming to be his “driver’s” phone. DO NO FALL FOR THIS GUYS BULL! HE IS A SCAMMER! He has recently sent me a case of wine, unbenonst to me, the flowers and wine were charged to someone elses credit card..surprise. I have reported him to the IC3, FBI, Match.com, Yahoo, American Express, posted him on Scammers, and notified the local police and tip line. Hope you read this before you get involved and scammed like I did, thank God it was only $1,300.
