Now he flew to Turkey to fix the oil rig there he sent me pictures of the heavy equipments he bought to start the work he said he spent his entire savings for the materials and that he doesn’t get pay for the job until the contract is done which is at the end of the month. He wants me to send him $5k to buy him food or pay his hotel. I need to see anyone’s picture of this guy to see if, he was the same guy. My name is Ally I did not sent him money.

You are like me, a very good a thorough detective. Your findings were mind-blowing in the depth you investigated. It’s very good to come across these reports to beware of scammers as I have been mildly duped once before but caught it early.
None the less, we fall pray to these “fishermen” who reel us in and never cut the line but just keep ya dangling. I am currently going through a situation that seems very similar as you describe. There have been red flags and I have questioned him only to get a “pissed off, you don’t believe me” attitude and response, then comes back all sweet and apologetic stating he never wants to lose me. I am on guard and at this point half believing and half not. Walking slowly and stepping lightly. I am playing along and playing it safe. Not putting my eggs all in the basket. It is something to do anyway..lol. I’m bored and aware..the rest will be what will be. I know it will come to a final destination and if it’s true then it’s all good, if it’s not..then I had fun and occupied my time and will just laugh at the experience. Fool me once, fool me twice…but now it’s my turn to see who turns out the fool this time.
I do appreciate your comment…an eye opener for sure and sorry for the time you wasted with that clown so just remember..what doesn’t kill ya makes ya stronger.
Hope your future is brighter and you find someone worthy of your time and affection.
It’s what we’re all hoping and looking for.

  5. Vinnea Austria Scammer – Nathan Russell
This guy is charming, he writes very long, well worded emails. But in reading his emails it is clear English is not his first language. This is what he says about himself – A little bit about me . Born and raised in Vienna Austria . Studied in the Institute of architecture Vienna . Lived in the states after my studies . My daughter is 15 yrs old , lost her mom 4 yrs ago after which we moved from Chicago to be closer to my best friend and his family who live few minutes from us in Avon CT , right now they are on a voluntary job & meditation retreat in a remote village in Thailand . I regard them as my family also . I’m not really close to my extended family back in Vienna due to family feud . Sometimes outsiders become family than the real family who turn their back .

I’m an independent architect and consultant engineer by profession, work for myself which is fun ( I can create my time to do what I want to do ) , traveling round and bidding for contract is the one thing I enjoy about what I do , Makes me see the world even on business trips I take time to sightsee . Currently on a work trip in Beijing bidding on a contract which is of an apartment and a shopping mall , waiting now to know the outcome of the bid and presentation .
I called the Avon CT post office and no such person lives there. There is not such person listed with the state of Connecticut, not does anyone with this name have a permit or license to perform work in Connecticut as an Architect.
He uses the name Nathan Russell – which is strange. Russell is one of the most famous and noble names in British history since the Conquest of 1066. Nathan is a Jewish name meaning to give. It is highly unlikely a person born and raised in Vienna would be given a Jewish name. Christianity is the predominant religion in Austria. 73.6% of the country’s population was Roman Catholic. The rest is mostly Lutheran.
His email address is nath_russell@aol.com. He claims his cell phone number is 850-631-5822 which Area code 850 is in use for the Florida Panhandle, including Pensacola, Tallahassee and Panama City. [1] Area code 904 was used for the all of Florida north of the Orlando area from 11 July 1965, when 904 split from 305, until 904 itself was split in the mid-1990s. Permissive dialing for area code 850 began June 23, 1997 and mandatory dialing began March 23, 1998. It is not a cell phone at all but a landline.
Be very careful he is very charming and very nice looking if in fact the photos are of him.

    • This sounds exactly like someone I met calling himself Daniel William and now Daniel Vargas except he’s supposed to have a 5 year old daughter named Lilly. He supposedly had a brother named Nathan, but then it turned into a friend named Nathan. His story changes constantly.

  6. I am registering a complain regarding a Kevin Nugent using the email address of bevdadnugent@gmail.com.
On 1-29-2016 this individual contacted me via Match with an chat window. We talked a bit and he gave me his email address which is a gmail account so that we could talk in hangout. Everything seemed normal, he really had me going, I thought he was really going to be a match, until the flags started to rise. He stated the following:
1- He was widowed for approx. 9 years wife’s name was Mary
Upon checking with the social security death index for the years 2007 +/- 5 years there is absolutely no record of death for Mary Nugent in any state of the USA. He claimed she passed in Boston.
2- He raised his daughter Beverly Nugent current age 22 years
Upon checking birth records for this child’s birth to parents Mary and Kevin Nugent in any state in USA, I check 1994 +/- 5 years. There are also no marriage records for either Mary Nugent, or Kevin Nugent in Boston area, Indiana or any other state around the 1994 time frame.
3- His daughter attends school at Kings College in London England her course of study is Hospitality and Hotel Management
I called the school and they do not have a Beverly Nugent registered as an international student or as a student period. They have no course for the above noted course.
4- He worked in Europe most Germany and England for many years
Impossible to verify but then, if you read his emails he is not American and does not have a good command of the English language.
5- He claims to be raised in South Boston.
Did a background search on him, he does not exist in any state, he claims to be 61 years old.
6- He is a Contractor for the Indiana Army National Guard stationed for 1 yr and 2 months in Syria
I contacted Indiana Army National Guard, while the right to privacy law prevented them from giving me information, they did clear up a lot of other questions. This guy is a fraud.
7- He is due back in USA at end of month, no mention as to which month
This is a neat trick, you can not have dinner or drinks with someone 5000 miles away. What a racket.
8- He asked me at one point to change the setting on my Match account to allow an associate to use my account as he could not sign up for an account from Syria. I refused stating this was not legal and against Match rules.
He got a bit pissy when I refused to do this, and did not respond hangout or emails for a couple of days, then he contacted me all apologies stating he was on patrol on the Syria border and could not get in touch with me. The issue of changing my Match account never mentioned again.
9- Then yesterday, he asked me for $1500.00 so his daughter could finish school as she lost her funding. See above, called the school, no such person attends. I did not send the money. He accessed me of not trusting him and assured me he would pay me back once he got back to the US and we finally met. He said that with the relationship we built up I should be able to help him. I did not feel the same way.
10- I asked him to give me his APO address, he stated he did not have one, and besides he would be home before the item got to him via snail mail of an APO. The Army National Guard stated they do have an APO so personal stationed oversea can receive mail and other items. Another lie.
11- He stated once he sold his parents property and he had $450K in the bank. He told me he did not have access to this money from Syria. I asked the Army National Guard about this as well. While they are half way around the world they are on a base and do have access to money in accounts whether it be at home or abroad. Again a lie.
This is what else I have discovered:
1- He has a Circle and every person in it is female and all are widowed, divorced and there are 8 of them. Rebecca Baisch, Kim Slark, Carolyn Wood, Cheryl Kronholm, Sally Krum, Judith Zillner, Shelly Harvey, Althea Teadt,
2- The Phone number he game me is 716-992-6554, he stated it is a cell phone. The phone is listed in Baffalo NY Eden, NY, the registered owner is Lauren Jean Glase age 40 DOB 9-30-xx
3- Other phone numbers registered to this individual is
    a. 919-992-6554
    b. 919-403-9836
    c. 919-382-2024
    d. 815-654-0406
    e. 336-992-6554
    f. 315-992-6554
    g. 919-941-0844
4- Address associated with these phone numbers are
    a. Raleigh NC
    b. Marcellus, NY
    c. Syracuse, NY
    d. Kenersville, NC
    e. Durham, NC
    f. Burlington, NC
    g. Jamestown, NY
5- Other names associated with these phone numbers and locations are
    a. Benjamin H. Glase
    b. Erin N Glase
    c. James A Glase
    d. Sheryl Lynn Clase
    e. Mary M Cunningham
6- I feel this is a very large scam ring of men and women who pray on widows both male and female.

    • Linda, please email me. Kevin was talking with you the same time he was with me. I happen to Google the news in Syria and through this there was his photo, one which he sent me. I clicked on the photo and “Boom” there was this scammer report. I want to thank you before it got too serious.

He went by the name Frank Warren when I met him online. These guys use voip numbers hooked to a computer and can use a number from anywhere. They change their story constantly. They prey on widows. I believe it was a man from Accra Ghana. A real sweet talker. Uses religion. I think they steal dead soldiers identity and steal pictures from everywhere they can. They are scum. They lead you to believe they are on their way home to make a life with you. They always say they can’t access their money. Which is a lie.

I have been involved with a man with a british accent.
very charming and I fell deeply in love with him. I am not over it yet.
I am out $50,000 and I am left in financial ruin. This took place over the
    last 16months.
I have filed a police report local and RCMP

I was contacted by someone from London area as well in late October. He claimed to own a construction company in the UK and was working on a project in Istanbul. When he got there financial troubles came up due to a new tax implied on materials he purchased. He was looking for $17,000USD. I didn’t give him any money. Thank god. He was using the name James Martin Morgan which I know is not correct. He photos were beautiful and I fell for him hard. I have a lot of information on him as well… not sure how true any of it is.

      • Hi Flo, Vicki & Sharon,

1st, Flo, we are definitely talking about the same guy! I met him on line through Match.com October 24/15 and the story you tell is exactly the story he gave me!! He started pressing me for money as soon as he got “in trouble” in Istanbul. I finally ended it December 31/15. When I saw these posting. This whole situation is very safiticated. He said he had a 15 year old daughter names Ashley, a mother that lived in Spain… I was also supposed to be going to visit him in his home city of Gravesend March 2016 – what a scam!!! Anyone can email me, I have info and pictures- take care.

After multiple attempts to get money and I refused he finally stopped calling me.

He was to come visit me for Christmas and even sent me his flight itinerary. He is a pro. Would love for him to be caught so no one else is ever hurt by this asshole.

            (Quote)

      • Hi Flo, I pretty positive we both have been involved with the same “James Martin Morgan”. He told me the exact same story that you wrote about. He said he was from Gravesend outside of London. That he had a business named JM Morgan Construction Ltd, which he sent me the “web site” to (but I find out it has only been created for 5 months). Then the same story as you… Only I have given him thousands of dollars!!!! He said his wife Sandra died of lung cancer from smoking and that he has a 15 yr old daughter named Ashley. I’d love for you to email me so we can compare notes and pictures! Thanks Flo.

I am very much new when it comes to online dating but i am trying my best to learn how it works.. i have not tried any site just this one and my subscriptions ends already… i also met a lady over dinner but she wanted just a fling because she was actually married.. i am not here for such games…I choose to try my luck cos i hear story’s of people finding there partner on dating site … Here is a little about me; My name is Greg Anderson i am 58yrs old…Am a widowed i have been a widow for 4yrs ..my parents are partly German and party American,Mom from USA and Dad from Germany but they both live in Germany all their lives but after Dad died mom and i relocate back to USA but i was still off and on USA to Germany cos i was still schooling…I studied Engineering at the University of Hamburg in Germany …i got married years after to a school sweet heart and had a son Paul who turned 22 this year… he is schooling at Scotland university in United Kingdom and he want to be a medical doctor..i lost my wife to breast cancer 4yrs ago, it was not easy watching someone you love so dearly dying and there was nothing you could do to help…I work on contract basis alone.. I build Skyscraper,Bridge and other mega buildings,i am self employed work as a building contractor and i work from home..I needed to start a new life and that made me moved from FL to ND where i currently live right now and i love it so much here…I have a very passionate nature, which is why, after the death of my wife, I devoted myself to my work and the responsibility of raising my son alone, since he is young when the mum passed away and as such i didn’t involve in any relationship cos i don’t feel like I could fill my works’ needs and get involved in a relationship where I give so much of myself. Now that i am balanced and independent, I feel like it’s my time again…I enjoy traveling with a special friend, going out for dinner and dancing, and slowly stepping out into the dating arena…It’s new territory after all this years — kind of scary sometimes, but I’m always up for new adventure…I had to join The Online dating thing when i decided that its time to meet My Missing Puzzle and spend the rest of my life with her.

I also have talked to one stuck in U.A.E. Says he is engineer on oil rig. Had an accident on rig, got a concussion. Then work visa expired. He sent a picture of a cashiers check for 1.2 million dollars. Had a fake accountant take the check to US to set up account for him. He made me his beneficiary. He is from Germany, named Felix Skindler. He had set up a fake account site. A spoofed site.Wants to send me huge sums of money, all i have to do is send a $4000 fee. I spoke to the real bank and to security officer. He said it was all fake and he was a scammer. He had a car wreck on the way to the airport. Cant access his money. Wants me to send the fees to him so he can transfer money to himself..He is a scumbag scammer. He sent me a picture of a fake passport. Said he lived in US for 5 years now. Why do these illegal people get away with scamming American widows ? The FBI does nothing to help. Or the Attorney General or the IC3. or the local police.

Hi, I am new to this.I started on line dating a month ago.I encountered my first scammer on matchmaker.com.I have yet to find him on any of the scam lists. His name is Jeffrey Chaney and he is from Minneapolis, MN.His email address is cjeffrey@gmail.com and his phone number is (612) 367-6693.We talked for about a month until he asked me for money and I said no.He is very good.
I decided to try match.com.I came across two scammers, SGM James Hook.I also messaged Rodger Sims from Tennessee.I googled SCM James Hook and he came up on scammers.com. I was texting Rodger Sims.I shut everything down because I had downloaded and email from James and the yahoo messenger. I had a computer expert go over my laptop, fortunately nothing. So I start up my computer and I have a message from Rodger Sims instantly.I have not given him any personal information. He has asked for my email and my work address.I just keep making excuses.I think yahoo messenger is safe, as our computer guy did not remove it.We have been texting but I think I will block him now.The thing is, I did a phone number and email search with Spokeo on both of them. The addresses come up in the areas they live as well as the phone numbers. Not certain about an IP search. From what I can tell, they are both using land lines. At least this time I know what to look for.Thank you for the post and the name Rodger Sims from Tennessee.

has anyone been in contact with a gentleman who claims to be a civil engineer working in Turkey building a hotel?he says he is from Poland and has a very thick or what sounds like a Polish accent. One of his emails to me is almost word for word what Jasmin in an above reply typed out.Like a dumb@$$, I did send him some money, and of course he has not contacted me since I said I was going to file a legal report.Strangely enough when I did send the money, I refused to send it to Turkey.I told him I don’t send money via western union. So, he gave me his supposed sister’s bank account number to wire it too and then whomever sent it to him via western union. So now, I have this person’s name and bank account number that is totally legit evidently. To me, this doesn’t make sense, but now I have a third party involved somehow. Any advice from anyone?Does anyone have pictures of him?

I am totally confused by this one.

Ok the guy I met on match was some of similar story. Was suppose to be a town away from me but was an architect and even had his own web site(checked it out). Was bidding on contract and had to fly to Manitoba. He won this contract for this hotel then found out it was in turkey and had to fly there immediately. When he got there hired his crew and equipment and was suppose to start work next day on surveying. Government stopped him. He had to pay taxes as non resident. Said he couldn’t get on internet to get into his account to transfer money would I do it from my lap top. He was intrusting me with his number and his life savings. >>>>>etc I am now out 19,000 have pictures He claimed to be Fernand Garcia>>>Mrcharming196 on match Spanish, widower,

    • This sounds very much like the guy I was talking with. British Accent, very charming. He states he owns his own oil business (used to have an interior design business), lives in Santa Monica and before we were to meet flew to Texas for business working on an oil contract which he won and to spend holidays with his only son. Then the day before he was to fly back he had to fly to Turkey to facilitate his deal. Then came the requests for money….he needed money to cover the cost of the clearance and inspection of the vessel carrying oil and he needed money for the non resident tax he was unaware of.

He is a widower and has been divorced with only 1 son. Originally from England, then lived in Texas and now California

Lets compare pictures and more info.

The second story sounds familiar. I have been talking on Match with a man who has a British accent, very charming and seems very intelligent. Before we met he flew to Texas for business meetings (states he owns his own company in the oil business) and to visit with his only son. He won the contract and the day before he was supposed to fly back to meet with me he had to fly to Istanbul, Turkey to facilitate his deal. Since he has been there he has asked for money to help with the clearance and inspection fee of the vessel carrying oil and also to pay for the non resident tax fee he was unaware of. He seems to suffer from frequent migraines. Ha.

He states he is originally from England, then lived in Texas and now in Santa Monica .. Widower and divorced with one son.

I have pictures, lets compare notes.

He was working on Turkish contract that Chevron oil company had awarded him.

Not as smart as the first man that reels you in…..Ladies Men beware I am sure it is the same on both side, I know the Ghana scam they have an entire clan full of men.

same photo in the back ground…look and notice, read the words carefully, take notes on the side. be your own detective…

For some reason, I can pick them out, I need to be paid for finding these suckers.

I was paulo.rossi 37@yahoo.com He was in Turkey — civil engineer for a ship — father cancer or some kind of issue is consistent scam. Dead wife true too. I was on Our Time He even involved a realtor here looking for homes! Yikes do I feel and so does realtor feel like a loser — he always gets bank note that funds are there before doing work on finding a home. Not much to get from me but enough that I’m living with friends since I bought into it hook, line, and sinker. Wish I’d left his ass there to get blown up by rebels — if it was even true :/. Should have followed my gut.

No $ to hire investigator. Have saved all texts with promises to pay. Lawyer says no statue on fraud. Maybe we should both send emails to paulo rossi 38 or maybe by this time he’s on to 40. . . . I just have to believe that heaven’s gates are firmly locked against losers like this. I would rather be single the rest of my life than do an on line experience again. Ask your site for my direct email. Would love to compare notes.

  15. I Feel Stupid on November 27, 2014 @ 7:52 pm

    Hi,
I’ve been talking to Jeffrey Allen. He says he lives in Ontario and is divorced with 1 child. He has sent me 4 pictures. Very handsome with a cute little blonde girl in pics. He says he is 6′.2″ with green eyes, born Feb 14 and works for a heavy machinery company but was in construction. He also said he was from Brussels…moved to London…moved to California and then to Toronto to be with his daughter.
We have been emailing back and forth for a month. At the beginning of last week he said he had to go Benin Republic on business for a week. Benin is in Africa…so I was very suspicious. He later told me that he was having trouble with customs and how they were trying to charge him a lot of money and asking for bribes. On our last email he said he asked his sister for the money but she did not send the full sum needed and that his company would pay him back.
He didn’t get a chance to ask me for money…and I wouldn’t send someone I’ve never met money anyway.
I called him out, asking for a picture with his passport, drivers licence and plane ticket to get back to Canada. He has not responded. I’m actually glad because I never want to be contacted by this person again.
He spend so much time emailing me with such beautiful words. I even sent him pictures of myself and my kids.
What a shame that people have to play with your emotions so they can make a buck. I should have trusted my instincts from the start, but I’m glad it never came to the point where I would even think of sending him money. Karma will bite him is the A$$ one day….if it’s even a him…lol God only knows.

  16. I have been on Match for about one month. I do not consider myself to look like Tom Selleck, but I have met many attractive ladies residing in, or living nearby my community. Admittedly brings out the ego, but have had numerous evenings and shared expense vacations with the ladies I’ve met. Bottom line is I date ladies I can validate before meeting with them.
I understand the pain of loneliness, and have deep sympathy for those taken in by a scam. But I cannot understand how someone can believe they can have a relationship with someone in Africa who needs money. these poor souls need professional help.
I had one beautiful lady in China who by my profile alone “feel in love with me!” She had money to fly to me, but needed airfare for her mother.
I reported this to Match, and in 24 hours her site was gone. I think Match does as much as is possible to protect members. But they are not a law enforcement agency. And so long as people are so said they’ll believe in any lie or dream posed to them, they’ll be victomized. People need to protect themselves and take responsibilities for their own lives, as difficult as that is.

    • I also experienced an attempted scam. This guy claimed to be Jordan Murphy, he originally sent me 2 photos of an Air Force guy, (REALLY NICE LOOKING). This was supposed to be a 49 year old man, who was a 27 year veteran. One of the later photos is attached. He was good, but would hesitate to reply to my messages, saying something just happened, or he was called out. He claimed to be in the Army (wearing an Air Force work uniform in the first pic he sent), claimed his name was Jordan Murphy, but his name on his uniform was Jordan (not Murphy, which is how the Military identifies the Airman with the LAST name).I had fun toying with him, but boy did I ever wish the guy in the pic was actually who he said he was, but, nope. I searched his gmail address in Facebook, and what my search brought back, with the email match was a dirty, hairy guy with a dog in what looked like, his mom’s basement. I asked him if he had a facebook account after finding this. He claimed that his account was hacked and so he closed it down. The next day, his facebook matching the email was gone. I am including this photo, but I have more. This is not the person I was talking to, but if anyone knows where this guy is, I’ll race you to him. :) Unfortunately this creep probably got the photos he is using from a story about this young man not making it home. He claimed he was very intelligent, (I beg to differ) and actually copied and pasted lines from a very known scam warning website. SSG in Afghanistan retiring, be back in the states in a month. Not cool, since I have 2 children in the military, and scum like this are portraying our men (and probably women) in uniform.

I am currently talking to someone that I suspect is a scammer. His profile name is Fun_Boaz_4U. We began communicating on Early August. A week later he told me he had to go to Canada because he was biding on two engineering contracts. While in Canada, he called me to tell me that he won the two contract and had to decide which one he was going to take. One was in Mexico and the other was in Cape Town. He said he decided to take the one in Cape Two because it was only 8 weeks and he would be back home. So he then told me that he was going to fly back to North Carolina so he can pack and his daughter, Lilly was going to go to Cape Town with him then she would return back to school in Australia. So I asked him since he was returning to NC could we meet only if it was for 5 minutes. He made excuses that he had to pack and go to the mall to purchase some computer equipment that he needed for the job. I still wanted to believe in his story although my mind was saying “something is funny about this.” So a day later after supposedly arriving to Cape Town, he informs me that he had 6 pieces of luggage and only 4 arrive. The two that was missing had his lap top, phone, camera in it. It also had Lilly’s Playstation in it. He said he was emailing me from the manager’s quarters. He has not asked me for any money or anything as of yet but I know it is coming. I had someone try to scam me like this back in 2008, thats why I was so alert with his story. Its a shame that people do such things.

His daughter was named Lisa and oh his website is a fraud. http://roycc.com/ The email and phone numbers are real on his website but I did a google map/earth search and his office in Ireland doesn’t exisit. Also the so called civil engineering jobs his “company” did exist but NOT where he says they did. Infact the projects haven’t even been completed yet. The Harris County Joint Processing Center is in Texas NOT Japan as his website states. Also the Highland Hospital Acute Tower is in California NOT Ireland. I texted and spoke with him alot and he sounded more Russian than Irish. His “team” on his webpage don’t exist on Linkedin the professional’s website either. He sent a great picture of “Himself” and his daughter “Lisa”. He also had a facebook page with a different picture of himself but definately the same guy as the one he sent me. The picture uploaded is the one he sent me.

  28. Beware of a man who claims to be Marcus Benjamin from Knoxville, TN.. Claims to be 46 yrs. old and an only child whose parents are both deceased and they left him an estate in Malaysia that he is trying to sell. Went to Texas to meet with a realtor Debra Williams who claims to have a buyer for the estate. Started asking for money for one thing or another and of course like an idiot I sent it. Then a man named charles nnochiri from Nigeria came into the picture and he is a scammer as well.
Lost a lot of money because of my stupidity and never response to Marcus Benjamin whose email address is writemarc@yahoo.com.
Wasted 4 months of my life before ending it and telling him what I thought was going on. He also claimed to be from norway and went by cuteandnorway1 on match.com.

  31. Anyone been scammed by a Kevin Johnson (Texas); Rodger Sims (Tennessee); Amos Scott (New Jersey) and my latest because they all say the same thing is a supposed US soldier overseas in Afghanistan named John Kelvin or Johnson Kelvin? All of these men when I started talking to them were in the states (except for the soldier) but had to go overseas for work. Within a month (at the most) they were asking me for money (all having to do with customs). They own their own business, madly in love with me, plan a future etc. I’ve also noticed, these scammers are always only children of parents that are dead and lots of times tragically. Wives are either divorced from after they caught them having an affair with their best friend or dead. I have taken myself off all dating sites and if I ever met anyone again in this manner they will be good old men from the USA with
J O Bs in the US. Beware ladies not just because of the money but my internet accounts started getting hacked (not sure if this is related) but gone for years on the internet without this happening …. but beware that you do not fall in love.

    • Hi, I am new to this. I started on line dating a month ago. I encountered my first scammer on matchmaker.com. I have yet to find him on any of the scam lists. His name is Jeffrey Chaney and he is from Minneapolis, MN. His email address is cjeffrey@gmail.com and his phone number is (612) 367-6693. We talked for about a month until he asked me for money and I said no. He is very good.
I decided to try match.com. I came across two scammers, SGM James Hook. I also messaged Rodger Sims from Tennessee. I googled SCM James Hook and he came up on scammers.com. I was texting Rodger Sims. I shut everything down because I had downloaded and email from James and the yahoo messenger. I had a computer expert go over my laptop, fortunately nothing. So I start up my computer and I have a message from Rodger Sims instantly. I have not given him any personal information. He has asked for my email and my work address. I just keep making excuses. I think yahoo messenger is safe, as our computer guy did not remove it. We have been texting but I think I will block him now. The thing is, I did a phone number and email search with Spokeo on both of them. The addresses come up in the areas they live as well as the phone numbers. Not certain about an IP search. From what I can tell, they are both using land lines. At least this time I know what to look for. Thank you for the post and the name Rodger Sims from Tennessee.

  32. Beware anyone asking for anything! Especially if they’re posing as widowers with moth less sons, (boohoo) or soldiers in harms way(boohoohoo). They usually have a dozen or more e-mail addresses. Watch out for men using simple names like Sargent Sam Lopez or John Brosco.(Johnny Brosco) They’re the same guy. When you call Sam on his scam, he has you contact himself as John.(bureaucrat_johnbrosco@aol.com) Then John sends you an email telling you that Sam (acronym for Secret Agent Man) works for CIA, NASA and Homeland and can’t send you any info on Sam for security reasons. This is to intimidate women so that they will not report a government agent. It’s all a very, very elaborate hoax, ladies. The second they ask you for anything more than a friendly reply, chances are, it’s a scam. They play on your sympathy and loneliness and they’ve been at it for decades, so they’re GOOD. Most are desperate for money because they’re also drug addicts and are capable of saying or doing anything. Do NOT send them pictures, financial information, personal details about your private or personal life. They will threaten to use that all against you if you catch them at their game and threaten to rat them out. A lot of these men are prior soldiers. They know how to use fire arms, so be very, very careful. Keep in mind that the names listed above are all fakes. If you want to learn more, and see pictures, just google “Sam Lopez/ Steven Lopez posing as Sargent in military dating scam.” You will be amazed. Other scammers will use the more attractive pictures to post on their scam profiles in order to draw more women in. So scammers use scammers to scam those who would be scammed. Don’t fall for it, ladies. It’s worth it to purchase a membership to ID sites like Spokeo. As soon as you get their name and e-mail address and phone number, look them up!!!! Save yourself some grief. But before you do anything, LOOK THEM UP!
