Hi Everyone – Please be aware of a man posing as Jeff Kendall on Match.com. Professed to be from Denmark but living in St. Pete, Florida. Told me that his business name was JK Oil and Gas Solutions based in Palm Coast, Florida and that he was the owner / operator and was an oil engineer who travels the world brokering oil contracts. (there is an actual website for the business, but it is poorly designed, and the phone number for the website is a disconnected land line (per reverse phone look up)…This guy really had me going for 3 weeks with romantic e-mails and attentive phone calls every day. The scam was that he was working on a big presentation, and he was too busy to meet me, but he would surely meet me when his NYC presentation was complete… he was going to retire whether or not he got the contract, but low and behold, he did get the contract and had to go to Madrid, Spain…The second day after he arrived in Spain, he told me that the equipment broke down for transporting the oil, and he didn’t have enough money to get more equipment….so, today, he asked me for the money…I should’ve known when I couldn’t find him on Google that it was a scam, but he’s really good and really had me going! Luckily, I didn’t give him any money, but please be aware of him – he’s a smooth talker, even though he doesn’t speak the best English.
